The
Family
Partnership
Campaign
is a
year-round
event.
It
starts
January
1st and
ends
December
31st.
Many
parents
work at
businesses
that
provide
matching
donations
to local
non-profits.
Have
leaders
and
parents
(and
you!)
ask
their
human

for more
information.
The best
place to
start
the
Family
Partnership
Campaign
is at
service
unit
meetings.
It will
be a
good
selling
point
when you
tell
parents
there is
100%
participation
from
their
service
unit
members.

Ways you
can help:
-
A great way to gain donations
for your service unit’s campaign is to encourage families to
make a tribute gift in honor of that special teacher/someone
who has made an impact in your Girl Scout’s life. This
would also be a great way to honor your Girl Scout’s troop
leader.
- Now that a new school year has begun and troops are becoming
active again, this is a great time of year to
approach small businesses and organizations in your
community and ask for monetary donations. These donations
will count towards our service unit Family Partnership
goal. If you would like sample letters or other ideas on
how to approach a small business please do not hesitate to
contact Kristy Huffman at 489-1025, or
khuffman@grgsc.org
- If you are planning a troop,
community or service unit
event such as a mom & me campout, father/daughter event,
a parents' meeting, or any other event where adults will be present, etc., you can sell
tickets for a split the pot raffle or even set out an empty
container to collect donations.
- If you need more ideas, please
contact Kevin Berlon at
kberlon@aol.com.
- Send your donation
to GRGSC, drop it off to Kevin Berlon, or go online and donate.
Please make a note that the donation should be credited to the Joining
Hands Service Unit #476 Campaign.
